A cross between 'none' and 'nan' (grandmother) in pronunciation

Probably based on the picture of a musical instrument, perhaps a bell.

A number of Chinese provinces have 'south' as part of the name: Henan (literally river South), Hunan (literally lake South), Hainan (literally sea South) and Yunnan (literally cloud South). as well as the city of Nanjing (literally southern capital).
