Mt. Changbai, located in the southeast of Jilin, curves toward the north of Chaoxian peninsula. The mountains are called Changbai (always white) because of its gray rocks and the covering of snow that lasts for years. Baitou Mountain, the main peak, with a height of 2691m, is the highest peak in North-Eastern China.
