Little Red Guards, Beijing

Little Red Guards (hongxiaobin) take part in Volunteer work on a Sunday in a Beijing Park in 1979.

The movement was controlled and used by Chairman Mao during the infamous Cultural Revolution. During the Cultural Revolution in China, everyone assumed others were potential enemies, so one had to be on guard at all times.
