Taihu Lake, Wuxi

Chang Chun (Eternal Spring) Bridge by the Taihu Lake in Wuxi Jiangsu taken in 1979.

With an area of 2,250 square kilometres and an average depth of 2 metres, Taihu Lake (or Lake Tai) is the third largest freshwater lake in China.

It is now quite badly polluted, due to the proximity of four large cities and non-organic farming practices.
