Truck Factory

Life in Chinese factories used to be grim. This rare photograph gives something of a feel of how little attention was paid to Health and Safety during the early and rapid industrialization of the 1960s and 1970s.

The Changchun truck factory was famous throughout China as the main maker of automobiles.

Changchun is located in the industrial heartland of north eastern China in Jilin Province

This archive photograph was taken by a SACU member in the early 1980s.
