Playing cards in the main public park in Kunming, Yunnan Province. Yunnan was an independent kingdom (Nanzhao) up to thirteenth century when it was conquered by the Mongol dynasty. The people are wearing the bland 'Mao suits' which was the standard dress for all Chinese people up to the mid 1980s. Another typically Chinese aspect is that the players are squatting down rather than sitting, most Westerners can't do this for very long, the Chinese can do this (apparently indefinitely) with no discomfort.
